Job Duties

  • Oversee and evaluate all Human Resource processes within the company.
  • Recommend improvements to management and implement company wide change accordingly.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Manage our medical, dental, vision, and long-term disability insurance.
    • Includes working with management during the annual renewal process.
    • Includes day to day administration of benefits.
    • Includes company wide communications regarding benefits.
  • Manage worker’s compensation claims from beginning to end.
    • Includes all communication with employee and insurance company.
    • Includes ensuring medical professionals are providing correct care for employees.
    • Includes ensuring employee is following all work restrictions if applicable.
  • Oversee Payroll Specialist and Recruitment & Wellness/Training Coordinator.
  • Work directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
  • Develop, evaluate, and assess safety procedures and policies to promote the safety of employees and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies
    • Sit as Chair of the Safety Committee to include administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and ensuring appropriate attendees. 
    • Guide the Committee consistent with management’s vision.
    • Lead injury and incident investigations and evaluations and apply findings as necessary.
  • Salary is based on experience and education.
  • Role will be bonus eligible after one year.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • Familiarity with health plan design and administration
  • Knowledge of self-insured medical plans is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant positions
  • Strong understanding of HR functions
  • Ability to positively implement change
  • Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and planning skills
  • Professional in all situations
